To minimize seam leakage on sewn seams of awning fabrics. The 3/4 inch wide tape is for double needle machines. The No. 463 Seam Tape is ideal for use on vinyl laminates such as Weblon.
The adhesive transfer tape is on a paper backing. The tape should be applied on the edge of the one piece of material to be sewn. The paper backing is then peeled off, leaving the transfer tape on the material. The other piece of material to be sewn is applied on top of the adhesive transfer tape and pressed together. Then the two pieces are ready to be sewn. As the material is being sewn, the up and down movement of the needle pulls the adhesive transfer tape into the needle holes to seal them and thus minimize seam leakage.
