A part of the VELCRO® Brand hook and loop fastener method, the #81 "hook" (male) section has small, stiff hooks. This woven tape fastener joins with a #9000 "loop" (female) part that has small, soft loops. When brought together, the mating strips make a secure, adjustable closure.
The VELCRO® Brand tape's compact, polyester structure offers high strength, stability, and easy maintenance. While typically not as strong as nylon, polyester offers better UV and water repellency. The exclusive self-gripping system eliminates the need for snaps, buckles, or rings. Uses for these sew-on strips consist of indoor/outdoor functions, marine fastening, cushion placement, clothing, recreational gear, tying, wrapping and bundling, straps, and many other industrial uses.
